The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, presented the economic
platform f the opposition during some meetings with citizens in Lezhe.
“Millions of Euros are used by government leaders for luxury investments. This money will be returned to citizens through investments that will create jobs, will reduce the energy price, taxes, and there will be more investments in agriculture”, Basha said.
Basha answered to those who asked him where will he find the money to implement the program.
“With 20 million USD a year, we could reimburse 300 KW for families on social welfare. They spend 80 million in luxury, and ask us where will we find the money. 2.2 billion EUR of the Albanian people have disappeared. They ask us where we will find taxes. We will reduce taxes and some of this money will be returned to the pockets of the Albanian people”, he said.
Basha guaranteed that his government will support businesses. He reiterated the tax program of the democrats for a flat tax of 9%, social insurance 9% and VAT 15%.
