The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, accompanied the candidate for
Dibra, Sherefedin Shehu as part of the electoral campaign, accused the
government of sending businesses to bankruptcy and of closing thousands
of jobs.
Basha mentioned dishonest competition in Dibra, where, according to him, every tender is won by the Socialist MP, Sadri Abazi.
“Higher taxes, higher fees, higher arrogance, higher repression, higher oil price, higher energy price… all of this are a cost to business and, as result, to every Albanian. Who else, besides Sadriu, wins the tenders in Dibra? Sadriu is the only business here? Is Dibra just that, a little village only with Sadri? No, Dibra has other firms, but there is no competition”, Basha declared.
The DP leader asid that the first step of the Dibra Municipality led by Sherefedin Shehu will be setting lower fees. Basha added that with him as Prime Minister, taxes will be lower in a national level.
“9% flat tax, 9% insurance, 15% VAT. More investments that create jobs and improve citizens’ lives. These are the platforms of the Democratic Party, tomorrow in Parliament”, Basha said.
Candidate Shehu unfolded his platform, focusing on the philosophy of flat taxes.
