The Dibra Municipality candidate, Sherefedin Shehu, together with the
Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with the residents of
Staravec, Shimcan, Pilafe and Tomin villages.

The biggest problem in these areas is unemployment, according to Shehu, who said that as Mayor he would invest in agriculture, mountainous tourism, stimulation and encouragement of businessmen.

“The administrative division was only for electoral purposes, because citizens have a worse service and the state budget has a higher cost, from 60 to 80 million USD”, Shehu said, and then announced his program for encouraging sale of agricultural products.

“The Municipality will intermediate between farmers, traders and companies that process agricultural products. The municipality will do the marketing part, because, as small farmers, you cannot contract them individually”, Shehu said.

“We will resolve definitively the drinking water problem, as we will do for Peshkopia”, he added.

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, added that the elections in Dibra are a chance to say “no” to lies, humiliation, arrogance and poverty.

Basha expressed his commitment to complete the Arber Road, which, he said, was started by the Democratic Party and will be concluded by them.

“They found the project ready. The deadline is expiring and they don’t have the courage to come and tell the truth to the Dibra citizens. Everyone knows that the agreement with the Chinese bank was undone because they requested a 40 million EUR bribe for the tunnel. That’s why the tunnel was not built. This is a way to tell this government through vote that the Dibra citizens will say “no” to this politics of fraud, humiliation and unemployment”, Basha declared.
