The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, returned from Germany where
he met some Parliament Members from the ruling right wing, and showed
his optimism for the candidate status by the end of this month.
Trusting that Albania has deserved this decision for a long time, Basha reminded the government that the real test comes after the status.
“We want to make it clear for the public that if we fulfilled most of the conditions and criteria for the status when we were in power, and all it remained for the left government wasr eceiving it, after the status, it is an obligation for the Rama-Meta government to fulfill the criteria for opening the membership negotiations. This is their test, and that will show the real contribution of this government in Europe”, declared the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha.
As regards the government’s ability and will to establish law and order, the opposition leader declared that this is one of the most delicate points in which the government has failed completely, by not fulfilling any of the promises given on the first 300 days of government.
“We have reiterated that with Edi Rama on top of the government, the crime has declared war to the state, democracy, the elections and values”, Basha declared.
Basha declared that the public order situation has deteriorated because the government has fired professional police leaders and replaced them with militants.
“This is another flagrant act for turning the police into a police of Edi Rama’s party. This is another arrogant revenge, an effort for submission and conformism. The opposition and the free Albanian citizens have the duty to answer and win at any cost. We have done this and we will keep doing this”, Basha concluded.
