Basha founds the “New Republic”, appeals for early elections with a technical government

Basha reiterated what he has declared these three months, that only free elections and a technical government can resolve the crisis. He added that the opposition will not allow monist elections, but answered to critics that his movement is peaceful.

“There is no stronger power than your unification for our right cause. We are today 10 times, 15 times more than yesterday. And tomorrow we are going to be even more. The Democratic Party was brought to life for the great cause of pluralism, and there is no country in Europe where people fight harder for Europe than in this square of freedom, in this square of unification, in this square of resistance. I knew that this day would come. It was just a matter of time. Let’s found today the New Republic. The story of the New Republic is sealed today with your holiest vote. My question to you is if you are ready to stay united? Are you ready to gather in this square until the New Republic is an institutional, constitutional and civil reality with the free and fair elections that are about to come. Are you ready to continue this battle? I demand you to resist, and God will bless us with victory. Same as we gathered for this referendum, we are going to gather for the third march, the final one. Let’s pray to God that the few opponents of the new republic will use their logic before this national unification, and make way for dialogue. What we founded here, our biggest asset, your biggest decision, the hope of every Albanian man and woman. Our new republic will not stop, will not break, but it will march towards total victory”, Basha said.
