Basha explains governments’ budget deficit on Facebook

The head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, published to graphics on his Facebook page in order to explain financial figures from Finance Ministry which confirms the loss of 160 million USD from state budget. He claims this are the figures that Prime Minister Edi Rama is hiding from, saying the enormous sum is due to the tax evasion and smuggling activities happened only in the last 7 months.
This is the second Facebook post from Basha in as many days where he accuses the government of wrongly handling the country’s finances. After the INSTAT figures published on Friday, Basha said those figures confirmed the crisis. National Statistics Institute reported a drop on exports figures for July, blaming it to the drastic shrinking of oil and energy exports, adding that excluding those two from calculations there is an increase of exports on other goods.
