The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, held the first meeting with
the Parliamentary Group deriving from the June 25th elections, and
declared that their priority will be changing the political system in
the country, starting with the electoral reform.
“This government is isolating our country with their actions. It is up to us to offer Albanians the alternative of freedom and democracy. DP will lead the reformation of our political system, starting with the electoral reform”, Basha said.
He underlined that the DP will be a model of honesty, accountability and sensibility to problems of citizens.
“We will protest against corruption. We are going to fight against drug and crime”, Basha added, saying that the political elite has abandoned common Albanians as never before.
“We need to bring them hope, so that they can see politics as an instrument for change”, Basha stated.
The leader of the biggest opposition party then added that the political power in Albania has captured all institutions. He also excluded the possibility of ruling together with the left wing.
