European MP, Knut Fleckenstein, met with the Albanian Parliament
Speaker, Ilir Meta. He said he had arrived to Tirana to follow the
progress of the justice reform.
By the end of the meeting, Basha spoke about two other priorities of the opposition, both related to elections.
“Most of the discussion focused on dismantling two main problems in the Albanian elections, vote purchase and influence of criminals as intimidators.
The issue of free and fair elections has turned into the focus of the international community as an urgent matter. The international community supoprts the efforts of the opposition for free and fair elections”, Basha declared.
The Democratic Party sees the arrest of Emiliano Shullazi as the first step towards the justice reform.
