The new Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, in his first declaration
for the media after taking this duty, thanked the members of the
Democratic Party for their votes and declared that the direction of this
party is a great responsibility. Basha declared that now the party is
more united than ever.
“The Democratic Party will listen and respect the voice and contribution of every member. In my effort to lead this new beginning, I will give everything possible to the Democratic Party members and militants”, Basha declared.
The Democratic Party leader promised that he will give his greatest efforts for this political force to be the force of dreams and hopes for the Albanians.
“That tasks lying ahead of us is not easy. The challenges are great. But in our path we have shown that we have been determined”, Basha declared.
Berisha: Basha, our success story
The former Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, declared that Basha is the true success story of the Democratic Party. He valued the achievements of the new Democratic Party leader in the political changes.
“I want to congratulate the new Democratic Party leader. Basha has successfully fulfilled every task that he has had. His election as Democratic Party leader is an excellent start for a new beginning”, Berisha declared.
According to Berisha, regardless the June 23rd elections results, the Democrats remain unbeatable, and for this Berisha valued the entire membership.
“Although some members did not vote for bureaucratic, family and personal reasons, the voting process was very good”, Berisha declared.
Olldashi: Voting process was deformed
Sokol Olldashi declared that the process for the election of the new Democratic Party leader was deformed.
In a press release Olldashi declared that there have been many problems on the voting day, since thousands of members did not find themselves on the lists, while thousands of others became Democratic Party members in the past two weeks.
“I want to make clear my position. The election was deformed. We did not have a clear view of the preparation of the lists, and it was not made available to me”, Olldashi declared.
According to him, the local leaders were influenced and biased.
“The tension of unnecessary structures and this excessive energy should have been used on the June 23rd elections. That’s a mistake”, Olldashi declared.
