Basha congratulates Merkel for her fourth term as German Chancellor

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, congratulated the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, for her fourth ruling mandate.

The Democratic Party announced that Basha sent a congratulation letter, saying that “with Mrs.Merkel leading the Federal Government, Germany has once again a stable and credible leadership in a time full of challenges”.

Basha also wrote that Germany’s leadership by Merkel for the next four years is positive news for Europe as well, since challenges in a European level demand a clear vision and strong will.

Basha thanked the chancellor for her attention to Albania and South-Eastern Europe, and for and for the close cooperation between the DP and CDU, both members of the European Popular Parties.
