Basha condemns government role in drug trafficking

Democratic Party Chairman, Lulzim Basha, is convinced that without the intervention of the Italian authorities, drug trafficking with airplanes would have remained isolated in the Divjaka plane that crashed two years ago. According to him, the latest operation uncovered by Italian police is yet another testimony of the ruling coalition leaders Rama and Meta connections with organized crime.

Basha said that the involvement in criminal activities of a police officer, previously expelled from the force for similar behavior, makes the situation in the country more critical. He is convinced that other high ranks official stand behind the mentioned officer.

“The government has opted to declare war to citizens and believers, and honest businesses and have make peace with criminal groups”. Basha said during a press conference. Even though he did not mention the previously announced series of protests, Basha said the Democratic Party and all opposition forces are ready to tackle the government and put an end to the dramatic situation. “We do have e salvation plan and we will achieve it together with the citizens”, he added.
