The DP leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that the political parties must
find a common language for the local government reform of territorial
division, and to centralize and empower the local government.
“The time can always be found when there is good will. We have no caprices and we demand nothing more than the European and democratic standard of our country. The government and the media say that we want our own map. They say that we will start a political battle for this, but it is not true”, declared the DP leader.
“Our only motive is the interest of our citizens, and since our responsibility is to serve to the citizens of our municipalities and communes. We need to enable quicker investments and services. The Albanian people know very well that the opposition’s door has always been open for real cooperation, for a real administrative-territorial reform. This reform should not be based on political calculation, but we have always been rejected. This is the first time that consensus is rejected”, Basha declared.
The DP leader underlined that the process has started with the wrong food since the beginning.
