The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, criticized the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini, who was today in Tirana and said that she was optimistic for Albania’s EU accession negotiations.
Basha said that Rama’s friends are coming for the last services before their mandate is over, but they cannot save Rama from this reality. According to Basha, the main reason that the EU accession negotiations are not open, is because Rama is connected to crime.
“The message of Europe for PM Rama is clear: there will be no negotiations without punishing the politicians who stole the votes in 2017. This battle is not just for political rotation, because that is unavoidable. This is the battle for the European values, starting with the free vote. There is no place in Europe for countries that don’t have the free vote and that are governed by crime”, Basha declared.
According to the opposition leader, there can be no free and honest elections without punishing those who steal votes.
