The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, visited the USA on request of
the US Democratic Party and the National Democratic Institution, to
invite him at the Democratic Party Convention in Philadelphia.
The opposition leader met with US Democratic Party leaders, senators and congressmen present in the convention, where he was a guest of honor.
Basha was then present at the forum of World Leaders, by invitation of the National American Institution.
The DP announces that the General Secretary of the European People’s Parties valued Basha’s role and contribution at the DP, for realizing the Constitutional Amendments based on best European standards.
In a meeting with Knut Fleckenstein, Basha expressed his gratitude for contributing with the Justice Reform.
Basha also met with Madeleine Albright, former US State Secretary, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, the Parliament Speaker of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, former Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga, European MP, Tanya Fallon, and Foreign Ministers of other EU countries.
