The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that although taxes have
increased, the money doesn’t go to the state budget, but in the pockets
of government leaders.

During his speech at the Economic Freedom Forum, Basha said that this majority has strong totalitarian tendencies.

“Although there are two parties in government that call themselves socialist, there has been nothing socialist about them in these two years and a half. Taxes are higher, excise is higher, but the money doesn’t end up in the government’s pocket”, Basha said.

The DP leader said that only during the past year the state budget ended in the pockets of government leaders, who shared this money with their clients.

“This majority baffled us. They have trusted health concessionaries to private operators. They don’t trust themselves, that’s why they trust everything to private operators”, he added.
