The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that it is impossible for the opposition to do its job in these conditions. He appealed citizens to take their fate on their own hands.
“The duty of the opposition in this parliament is completely impossible. Everything has been destroyed institutionally, legally and constitutionally. We are here to say that these farce will continue. There is no other way now that stolen votes have cemented a gang in power. The judiciary reform is the first victim. For this reason I appeal you to do something else. Take your fate in your hands. Rise up and the opposition will be by your side”, Basha declared.
Basha added that for the past five years, Albania has been led by a Prime Minister under blackmail. “Cases show that his interior Minister has met hundreds of times with famous mafia leaders, and of course, he has been recorded by partner services. This is a Prime Minister that can be blackmailed. The vote against Jerusalem is the least bad thing that he could do to this country. Wait and you will see other decisions showing what damage a blackmailed Prime Minister can do to a country, especially in international relations and relations with our neighbors”, Basha declared.
