The Parliament approved the three candidates for members of the
Supervisory Council at the Bank of Albania, Natasha Ahmetaj and Tonin
Kola, proposed by the majority and who received 74 and 82 votes in favor
respectively.
The most voted name was that of Gent Sejko, proposed by the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania.
Besides being voted as member of the Supervisory Council, Bejko has also been decreed by the President as candidate for Governor. The majority was skeptical at first about the candidacy of Sejko. Some have even made their stance against public, but the result of the vote this Wednesday brings a new scenario.
Did the majority change its stance about the candidacy of Sejko?
This will be know during the next month, when the President’s decree will be voted in Parliament. Besides the three members for the Supervisory Council, the Parliament voted this Wednesday the candidacy of Enkelejda Shehi as Director of the Financial Supervision Authority, and Mimoza Kaci who will replace her.
