The Bank of Albania Governor declared that higher value of Albanian Lek towards Euro is result of a stronger Albanian economy.
“We as Bank of Albania are proud with the stability of LEK”, said Gent Sejko, Bank of Albania Governor.
He said that the economic growth has been supported by several factors, such as the monetary policy and increase of foreign demand for Albanian goods.
However, he admits that the risks in the Albanian economy remain high, such as the recovery of the European economy and the low crediting supply.
For this reason, Sejko asked the government to improve the business climate and support the producing sectors.
