Gent Sejko, the Bank of Albania governor, said today in a press release that economy grew with 4.45% during the first trimester, compared to the same period of one year ago.
According to the Governor, the enlargement of the economic activity was focused mainly on the industrial sector, especially by production and export of electricity.
“The economic growth was assisted by a higher private consumption, total investments and export of goods and services, but it was slowed down by increased imports”, Sejko declared.
