Bank of Albania declared this Wednesday that the Albanian economy is
gradually improving. Governor Gent Sejko declared that the enlargement
of the economic activity is affecting employment positively.
“The enlargement of the economic activity in our country has increased employment and has decreased unemployment. The gradual economic movement towards a balance creates premises for raising salaries and production costs in a mid-term plan”, Sejko declared.
According to the Bank of Albania, the fiscal policy of the government has consolidated economy and the growth is within predictions. The governor expressed his optimism about 2017 too.
“The Albanian economy will be back and balanced during 2017. The growth will be supported by private consumption and investments, while the commercial activity will play a secondary role”, Sejko declared.
Budget 2017 is solid, according to the Bank’s data. The Supervisory Council, on the other hand, did not change the basic interest rate for the Albanian Lek.
