The Bank of Albania Governor, Gent Sejko, declared that the Albanian economy has kept growing in the second semester of 2017.
“The basic interest rate will stay unchanged at 1.25%. The level of problematic loans has dropped to 13.2%. The acceleration of the economic growth requires structural reforms to continue”, Gent Sejko declared.
The Bank of Albania Governor also announced a decision of the Bank of Albania Supervisory Council for reducing usage of Euro.
Sejko said that the financial service of banks is constantly improving, but they should be more active with crediting.
