Bank of Albania confirms: “Economic growth, 4.06%”

The Bank of Albania confirmed figures published by INSTAT regarding economic growth during the second trimester of this year.
Governator Gent Sejko saidn in a press release that the economic growth for April and June jumped at 4.06%.
Sejko said that the annual inflation has dropped to 2.1%, while unemployment around 13.2%.
The Bank of Albania also notes a lower level of problematic loans in all second-hand banks. For August, Governor Sejko declared that the budget balance suffered a deficit.
However, the Albanian economy is still far from its true potential, according to the Governor.
“The Albanian economy is still far from its true potential, but the gap is getting smaller”, he declared.
