The Albanian citizens will be able to get informed regarding the
Commissions and the interest rates for the goods and services offered by
the Banks through the official website of Bank of Albania.

The data from 16 banks that operate in Albania will be updated every three months and will be accessible for any individual and business through five forms in ALL, EUR, USD and GBP.

The reports will be presented within 15 days after the end of the trimester, according to the report approved by Bank of Albania.

“These reports aim to publish the prices offered by the banking system for its goods and services and aims to create favorable conditions so that the clients can get better information and orientation and find more adequate solutions for their financial situation”, declared Anjeza Harizaj, responsible of the Supervision Sector at Bank of Albania.

Through this project, the Bank aims to increase transparency and competition, so that the banks can decrease the service cost. If the banks will not present the data periodically, the Bank of Albania says that they will be penalized with fines and even measures against the Bank personnel.
