Bank Governor: “Financial education for new generation”

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, met with students from
various school and discussed the importance of having a financial
education for the young generation.
“Many central banks throughout the world pay more attention to the financial education of the general public, but especially to the new generation. The central bank is interested for in the public’s economic and financial education, especially as regards its activities in monetary policies, banking supervision, consumer information on products, banking services and the public’s financial inclusion”, Sejko said.
He underlined that the effective participation of the public in the financing system contributes in increasing the economic welfare of individuals and businesses.
In this meeting were present the Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, and the Minister of Social Welfare, Blendi Klosi.
