Ban of older cars postponed

The government has officially repealed the law that banned the import of cars older than 10 years.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, declared that they will allow the import of any vehicle, as long as they fulfill the pollution standards.

The Ministry of Infrastructure explained that the government explained that the decision is taken because Albania is among the countries with the oldest fleet of automobiles, the average age of which is 20 years.
