Ballot for presidential election

If the meeting between Sali Berisha and Edi Rama would have produced the
name of a candidate, the Albanian Parliament would have voted this
Monday.

For not leaving anything to chance or the last minute, the secretariat for the Parliamentary Voting Procedures had produced the bllots and prepared the process verbal that was to be used in the first and second voting.

But what is the ballot like? Many might be curious about the details. Top Channel was able to secure these documents.

The ballot with the inscription “for the election of the Albanian President” was of the A4 format, with the logo and symbol of the 100th year of independence, where it includes the names of the Presidents, if there would b two alternatives.

The instruction asks the MPs to place the sign “+” or “X” on the desired box. Placing more than one sign makes the ballot invalid.

The procedure was planned according to article 87 of the Albanian Constitution, and article 109 of the Parliament regulation. The first part of the form is a summary of the MPs that would be present on the floor, based on the signatures on the respective list and the number of invalid ballots.

The second part of the procedure belongs to the number of votes for each candidate, if there are two of them in the race. The third part is a summary of the votes that have been received from everyone.
