Balla: Bushati is violating the law

Taulant Balla, Parliament Member of the new majority, gave a strong
message to the Head of the Audiovisual Media Authority, Endira Bushati,
and appealed her to respect the law or else she will be sued.
Balla reminded to Bushati that law 972013for the Audiovisual Media in Albania was approved with political consensus, except for one article.
“Edlira Bushati is breaking the law by acting against the procedure. So far she has taken four illegal decisions”, Balla declared.
According to Balla, Endira Bushati is damaging the activity of the audiovisual media in Albania. “We must remember that Albania, not because of the government, but because of the private media enterprising, has taken important steps that can be compared with other European countries. And now the legal regulation process is not recognizing the erality and the existing actors”, Balla declared.
According to him, this process should not be biased and hidden, but open, impartial and completely based on the legal norm.
“I want to remind to Endira Bushati that although the new legislation of the Albanian Parliament started working on September 9th, we are following her actions very closely”, Balla added.
”We are taking in consideration the concern of the interested parties in the digital licensing process, and will use every institutional instrument for respecting the law. We are also taking in consideration the complaints for the illegal decisions taken by AMA”, Balla added.
Taulant Balla made this warning for the AMA head, by saying: “For every violation of law 97 / 2013 and every other abuse, we will file a suit at the Prosecution. The Penal Code is clear for the power abuse”.
Balla concludes his comment by reminding to Bushati that based on articles 7 and 10 of this law, the new Parliament has the right to remove Mrs.Bushati from her duty.
