Taulant Balla, leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, said that the SPAC (Special Prosecution Against Corruption) and the NBI (National Bureau of Investigations), the two institutions that will be established by the judicial reform, are the only entities that will carry out the vetting of politicians.
“What Basha is proposing is for politicians to vet themselves. You cannot have a vetting of politicians done by politicians”, Balla declared.
The SP Parliamentary Group leader also invited Basha to stop the “tourist expeditions around Albania’s local hotels”, referring to the meetings that are being held by the opposition in different cities, rather than in Parliament.
