Balkan and EU leaders gathered in Vienna, part of a special summit
dedicated to the refugee issue, initiated by the Austrian Chancellor,
Christian Kern.
The purpose of this summit is a coordinated approach to this cause. Many organizations say now that the key roads of the continent are closed, thousands of refugees are strained in Greece.
Present in this meeting was the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and other EU representatives.
“We need to improve the efficiency of our actions. We need to politically confirm that the roads of Western Balkan are closed for a good purpose, to avoid illegal emigration. I congratulate Chancellor Kern for this initiative”, said Donald Tusk.
