Bad luck for Albanian skier, breaks leg before debuting race at Lausanne 2020

Luck wasn’t by the side of the Albanian skier, Era Shala, at the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games.

Despite her great desire to race in such an event, the Albanian athlete broke her leg during training, one day before her debuting race.

The 16-year-old was training at the “Les Diablerets” center, with trainers Feim Kollcaku and Bujar Turjaka.

She received immediate assistance by the Swiss emergency forces, who airlifted her to the best hospital of Lausanne.
