Bad loans at court

Banks file at least eight lawsuits a day against citizens who fail to pay their loan installment.

Referring to the annual statistics offered by the Court of Tirana, these lawsuits make half of the flux for bailiff orders.

“The Court of Tirana has had 5893 requests in 2013 for bailiffs. 2235 of them come from banks for the loan payments”, declared Eva Avdia, Spokesperson of the Tirana Court.

What is noted is that after violating the loan agreement, the citizens usually lose the trial in court.

“The court has finalized 2133 cases and the bank’s request has been accepted in 1953 of them”, Avdia declared.

These orders are handed over to bailiffs for taking the collateral to the bank and putting the objects in auction.
