The emergency groups worked during the entire night to clean air from
hydrogen, but they could not enter Level 21 of the Bulqiza mine gallery,
where three Chinese miners are blocked.
The rescue team got closer today, and they are expected to enter once the air is cleaned from gas.
Three other Chinese workers were injured by the explosion and were sent to the nearest hospital for medical care, where they are out of life threatening danger.
The workers were with the Chinese Xiang Engineering company, contracted by the Albanian “Albchrome”.
The Deputy Minister of Energy and the Chinese Ambassador were both on site yesterday after the incident was reported.
