The Austrian Foreign Minister, Karin Kneissl , said that there should be green light from the EU about Albania’s and Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations.
Kneissl said that this is not a matter of being generous, but of being logical, since both countries had two matters to resolve before opening the negotiations, Macedonia’s name issue with Greece and Albania’s judiciary reform.
The Austrian Prime Minister, Sebastian Kurz, also said for Die Presse that the negotiations with Albanaia should open. Austria is about to take over the presidency of the EU for the next six months.
