Austria, Kosovo is untouchable

The vice Chancellor of Austria, Michael Spindelegger asked Belgrade to
clarify the relations with Kosovo, because Serbia’s EU candidacy depends
from it.

Spindelegger gave this declaration after a meeting with his Hungarian homologue, Janosh Martonijem and the head of the Italian diplomacy, Franco Frattini.

The Austrian Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor excluded all possibilities Northern Kosovo division and the unification of this area with Serbia.

“Kosovo’s independence and its territorial integrity cannot turn back, and our Serbian friends know this very well”, Spindelegger underlined.

He emphasized that Austria has supported the integration of each Western Balkan country in the EU.

Spindelegger appealed Belgrade and Prishtina to dialogue a solution for the customs issue.
