One of the well-known names of the underground world of Elbasan, 55-year-old Ardian Çapja continues to be in critical condition in hospital after today’s attempt on his life.
Police announced earlier that he was injured in front of his house at 09.37, in the neighborhood ‘Emin Matraxhiu’ in Elbasan, and after that he was brought to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
In another related event, a burnt out car with a sniper rifle inside was found in Elbasan outskirts, believed to be the weapon with which the 55-year-old was shot.
Ardian Çapja is a well-known name for the Albanian police after a series of criminal events and conflicts with other people in Elbasan.
A well-organized assassination attempt was carried out againsthim in 2017, where he was shot with a Kalashnikov and other weapons, but he managed to escape.
On February 3, 2016, three members of his family were killed, while Florenc Çapja escaped an assassination attempt in June 2016, where his friend Bledar Muça, with whom he was traveling in a car, was injured.
