Aldo Ymeraj was arrested a few days ago as a member of a very dangerous international hacker group called “infraud”.
Top Channel visited his modest home, and his mother says that her son had no money to spend.
“My son has a very modest wardrobe, with clothes chosen by his mother, bought at thrift shops. If he had money, he wouldn’t let me work overtime”, she said.
Ymeraj was arrested in 2013 for cybernetic piracy. Since them, he had been asked to stay away from computers.
“My son hasn’t had a computer at home since 2013. We had decided to take him to the US Embassy, since it was about extradition, as we had heard. When we arrived to Tirana, the police took him back to Fier”, his mother says.
Infraud was a company founded in 2010 by a Ukrainian hacker. It operated until a few days ago, when police in many countries made several arrests, declaring that the group was responsible for more than 400 million EUR of damage.
