The European Commission will contact with the Albanian authorities
regarding the asylum requests that have increased. Natsha Bertaud,
Spokesperson for the European Commission, declared this Tuesday that
they are considering the measures that need to be taken, especially for
Kosovo.
“The European Commission is cooperating with FRONTEX for a full support after the increased number of asylum seekers, especially in Germany. We will contact the Albanian authorities, especially with Kosovo, to see the measures that can be taken. We have an agreement with Albania after the visa regime was lifted”, Bertaud declared.
