Call Center companies are exploring other possibilities to keep their
operations in Albania, after the Italian Senate recently passed a law
that made it more difficult for those who operate outside the EU.
“We are looking for other possibilities within the law, for opening contracts in Romania and keep operating in Albania”, said Gent Drenova, Chairman of the “Call Center Association”.
Another possibility is operating through an intermediation company.
“If we first had one direct contract with Italy, now we will have an intermediating company that guarantees these job contracts”, Drenova said.
Although the law might reduce the number of clients, larger companies see no danger.
“Our company has more than 3000 employees, and we are even looking for others. We will keep operate normally, but most of the Italians who are contacted know they are being contacted to from Albania”, said Blenard Daci, leader of one of the companies.
