The Head of the European Diplomacy, Catherine Ashton, welcomed the
agreement for the helping OSCE role in the organization of the Serbian
Parliamentary and Presidential elections in the Kosovo territory.
“I appeal Pristine and Belgrade to keep cooperating with the OSCE in good faith, so that the voting can be conducted peacefully. I appeal all parties to stop any action that could cause tension”, Ashton declared in the press release.
According to the EU representative, the security climate in the country will be observed by EULEX, which will implement its mandate in close cooperation with other international and local organizations that are involved in this process.
