Ashton starts tomorrow the Balkan Tour

One week after the visit of the European Commission, EU high
representative Catherine Ashton will visit Serbia and Kosovo in the two
days to come.
“EU is determined to continue the European perspective for Western Balkans. We want to see this region progress” says the press release which underlines that the dialogue must continue and good relations between neighboring countries are essential.
Ashton’s visit in Balkan has been mentioned since February and March 2011. Her cabinet promised a visit in Tirana too, during the Balkan tour.
The official announcement says that Ashton will visit only Serbia and Kosovo, and that she will meet the Serbian President Tadic, Kosovo Prime Minister Thaçi and head of the EULEX mission in Kosovo, Xavier Bout de Marnhac.
