“I guaranteed Mr.Ambassador for the constructive role that the Party for
Justice, Integrity and Unity has held and will hold as a national party
that aims to find the unification points between the political parties
and all Albanians”, this was the guarantee given by the leader of the
Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity, Shpetim Idrizi, after a two-hour
meeting with the United States Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu, in
presence of four from five Parliament Members that this political force
has in parliament. This declaration comes in the moment when the
majority has started the territorial reform, with international
financial support and international experts, after the opposition
refused to become part of it.
Although in the opposition’s coalition, Idrizi declared that he gave another guarantee to the United States diplomat.
“The Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity will keep being a mediator for both parties to sit and discuss the territorial reform and the Civil Employee law, with the full conviction that the Albanian political class has been able to produce crises, but this political class should be more able to absorb them and unite for the joint reforms. I am happy that we shared the same views with the United States Ambassador to Tirana”, Idrizi declared.
“Idrizi reconfirmed that the Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity will keep encouraging all political parties in Parliament. The Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity is the second parliamentary party of the opposition’s coalition, and they have a critical role for making the government accountable to the citizens. But it is also important for the opposition to be ready to commit and fulfill this role”, Arvizu declared.
While confirming that they will be the mediator for important reforms, the Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity listed the Cham case as the first important thing of the discussion with the Ambassador, and added: “We spoke very carefully about this issue, including the dialogue and the discussion with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.
To the media’s interest about what they discussed, Mr.Idrizi and the United States Ambassador answered only with the press releases.
