Arvizu, honoring three Albanian police agents

Three State Police agents have received a gratification certificate from
the US Ambassador to Tirana, Alexander Arvizu, in a ceremony for the
joint implementation of the platform for educating and raising awareness
against drugs in the schools of the Albanian capital.

 With the motivation for having contributed in a successful implementation of this program, were honored Saimir Mucaj, director of Tirana Police, Bedri Hasanbaj, Chief of General Patrolling Unit and Arben Isufi, Chief of Sector. The same certificate was given to the director of the Tirana Education Directory, Mrs. Arjana Bekteshi.

This program is being realized in the schools of Tirana, with the support of the ICITAP program of the US Embassy and the New Jersey National Guard. Ambassador Arvizu valued the cooperation of the schools with the police for raising awareness against drugs.

The Interior Minister, Bujar Nishani, declared that this was encouraging. He expressed his pleasure for the fact that in this project have been included important partners besides the state structures, such as the US Embassy to Tirana.

On his behalf, the Minister of Education, Myqerem Tafaj, declared that war against drugs starts from the schools. Tirana Police and Tirana Education Directory signed a second memorandum and created a working plan for the academic year, in 40 Tirana’s middle schools.
