Arvizu: Compromise for the reform

The US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu, whose country has supported the
territorial reform with experts and money, declared that the government
has done a good job with the consultations for this matter.
By saying that this is an interesting week for the developments within the majority, but without commenting the opposition of some MPs, the representative of Washington in Tirana gave the message that the reform is for the country’s best interest, that’s why compromise is needed from everyone.
“I think that it wil be a very interesting week. This is natural, but you can ask the Parliament Speaker for more. I think that the government has done a good job with the consultations, and while the moment to decide is getting closer, it must be emphasized that this decision will have a big impact.
I think that there are two important matters that should be taken in consideration: the concerns of different areas should be taken in consideration; and secondly, this is a reform that will give benefit to the entire country, and that’s why everyone needs to find a compromise”, Arvizu declared.
