The United States Ambassador to Tirana, Alexander Arvizu, says that the
Central Election Commission stalemate can be resolved in this Monday’s
Parliamentary session, in which The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali
Berisha, promised to vote the three integration laws.

The United States diplmat declared that this session is a good chance to constitute the Central Election Commission.

“Today is the first day of the Electoral Campaign, but it seems that it has already started. We have been very clear on the United States position about the elections and the Central Election Commission. We heard that a special Parliamentary session will be held this Monday in Parliament, and this is a good chance to constitute the Central Election Commission, besides voting the three laws. I hope that both parties will benefit from this opportunity”, Arvizu declared.

The United States ambassador released these declarations after attending a visit at the Constitutional Court. Together with the President of this court, Bashkim Dede, they said that they didn’t speak about special topics, besides confirming the United States support to this court.
