“The opposition will do everything for Albania to not turn into an oasis
of drugs”, was the declaration of the Democratic Party leader during a
meeting with the United States Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu.
Basha shared his concern with the Ambassador regarding what he considered an alarming flow of the drug traffic from Albania to European countries, and underlined that the opposition blames the irresponsibility of this majority and of Prime Minister Rama for the degradation of the drug traffic to this levels.
Basha declared that the opposition feels concerned about the aggression shown a few days ago in Parliament.
“Status expected to be given to Albania”
Basha meets representatives of Swedish diplomacy
In another meeting with the General Director for Political Matters with the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Torbjörn Sohlström, the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that Albania fulfilled the criteria of the European Commission and the status has been approved, and that there is no reason to not give it anymore.
The Democratic Party and the opposition not only support the country’s EU integration, but they are serving to the European future of Albania by reporting with facts the volations made by the government which, according to Basha, tried to hide incriminated elements in the State Police and in key administration positions, which brought a scary increase of the drug traffic to EU countries.
