Arrest of imams in Kosovo

“We received this news with great concern. The Islamic Community of Kosovo believes in their innocence for as long as the justice institutions prove the contrary. The Islamic Community of Kosovo bases its work on the celestial principles of Islam. We believe that the speeches of our imams in mosques have followed this spirit”, the declaration says.

The Islamic Community leadership says that the “mosques in Kosovo have always played a positive role in educating the population. Mosques have also had a decisive role in important developments of Kosovo.

“We appeal for patience until the justice institutions give their verdicts. We appeal our believers to wait with maturity, far from politicizations and misunderstandings”, the declaration continues.
