Arm traffic from Albania

An investigative article of the British newspaper “Ths Sun” publishes
the details of an investigation of how Albanian smugglers offer weapons
for British criminal groups.

The Sun journalists have arrived in Albania and contacted the Albanian underground world, who, according to the journalist, offered an entire arsenal of weapons and explosives to the journalist that could be enough to blow up an airplane.

After detailing the way how he met the Albanian arm dealers in Shkoder and Peshkopia, The Sun says that these people can even offer to smuggle them into Britain for an additional price.

The Sun started the investigation after the arrest of four people in London, about a plot that was looking similar to the attack recently held in Nairobi. According to the smuggler, criminal elements in Britain make arm dealing agreements with the Albanians, Bosnians and Kosovo Albanians who live in Britain.

The investigation that lasted several months made the British journalists go to Shkoder and Peshkopia, where they met smugglers who were offering huge arsenals of grenades, explosives and AK47 rifles, weapons that could be sent to Britain for an additional price.

According to the investigation, the arms would pass from Italy, Germany, France and then Britain through cars, buses, trucks and ferries.

When asked about his clients, the Albanian dealer told The Sun that most of them are criminal elements. God knows where these weapons end up after that. The Albanian dealer had also told them through a disguised threat that no one can avoid payments, and that they know London like their own pockets, and that there was nowhere they could hide.
