A prehistoric engraved stone, found at the Xhuxh village, Fan commune, Mirdita district, in Northeastern Albania, now belongs to the National Museum of History in the capital.
The stone dates from the bronze period, and the symbols appear to show a man. Different from other rock art samples, this has not been damaged for the past 4000 years.
Archaeologist Rudens Ruka says that everyone wanted to keep the stone in the area where it was found, but they had to transport it to the museum so that it could be preserved properly.
The Xhuxh residents have given a special contribution to the preservation of this stone.
