Arben Frroku, 45, is under investigation for the murder of Chief of
Police Dritan Dajti. He was extradited from the Greek authorities today
at 17:00.
The handing over process was made under the watch of Interpol Tirana. A high security was noted, not only from the Rinas Airport police, but also by civilian police officers.
Frroku, a former powerful businessman in Tirana, will make his first appearance at court for the hearing of his charges.
The defense lawyer was present, although he gave no comment for the media.
Frroku is suspected by the Prosecution of Serious Crimes as one of the main people involved in the murder of Chief of Police Dritan Lamaj, shot with 12 bullets at his house on February 24th 2013.
Although the Prosecution claims that they have now the most important person of this case, there is still no clue about the two other people who were suspected to be inside the BMW from where Dritan Lamaj was shot.
Frroku was arrested in Thessalonika one day after this tragedy, and he never admitted to be part of this crime. His lawyer claims that Frroku has not been in Tirana when the murder took place.
