Recent data of the Ministry of Energy show that the debt of aqueducts to the government mounts up to 65 million EUR.
The situation got even worse during this year, this year, when aqueducts created 10 million EUR of debts from January to October.
According to the Ministry of Energy, all aqueducts are facing financial difficulties, and cannot pay their energy bill.
The government cannot cut their power line, because that would leave citizens without water, creating an even worse situation. For this reason, Prime Minister Edi Rama warned that there will be a wide campaign against illegal water connections.
